Oman Decision No. R/10/2020 On Collective Termination of the Service Offered to the Insured Persons

Based on the Social Insurance Law issued by Oman Sultani Decree no. 72/1991;

The Job Security System issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 82/2020;

The approval of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Social Insurance; and

Based on the requirements of the public interest;

The following has been decided:

Article 1

The termination of the service of the insured persons shall be considered as a collective termination according to Article (4) of the aforementioned Job Security System, in the following two cases:

  1. Termination of the service of (2) or more persons insured by the employer, within one month.

  2. Termination of service by (1%) of the total number of persons insured by the employer.

Article 2

This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and shall come into force from the first of November 2020.
