Oman Decision No. 756/2023 Banning the Trade of Electronic Cigarettes and Hookah and Their Accessories

After perusal of the Consumer Protection Law issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 66/2014;
Oman Decision No. 698/2015 on banning the trade of electronic cigarettes, and hookah;
The Implementing Regulation of the Consumer Protection Law issued by Oman Decision No. 77/2017; and
Based on the public interest requirements,
The following has been decided:
Article 1
The trade of electronic cigarettes and hookah and their Accessories shall be banned.
Article 2
Without prejudice to the penal sanctions stipulated in the aforementioned Consumer Protection Law, whoever violates the provisions of this Decision shall be sanctioned with an administrative fine of not more than (OMR 1000). The fine shall be doubled in case of recidivism.
In case of continuity of this violation, an administrative fine of (OMR 50) shall be imposed on every day on which the offence is still committed, provided that the total of the fines does not exceed (OMR 2000).
