Oman Decision No. 374/2024 On the Determination of Locations and Jurisdiction of the Administrative Circuits of First Instance and Appeal Courts
Abrogating:
Oman Decision No. 164/2022 dated 13/10/2022
Pursuant to the perusal of the Judicial Authority Law issued by Oman Royal Decree No. 90/1999;
Oman Sultani Decree No. 35/2022 concerning the governance of the Administration of Judicial Affairs;
Oman Decision No. 164/2022; and
Based on the public interest requirements,
The following has been decided:
Article 1
The location and jurisdiction of Administrative Circuits of First Instance and Appeal Courts shall be determined as follows:
Appellate Administrative Circuit at the Court of Appeal in Muscat:
Its jurisdiction covers all the wilayats (districts) of the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
First Instance Administrative Circuit at the Court of First Instance in Muscat:
Its jurisdiction covers the wilayats of the Governorates of Muscat and South Al Batinah.
First Instance Administrative Circuit at the First Instance Court in Salalah:
Its jurisdiction covers Dhofar Governorate.
First Instance Administrative Circuit at the First Instance Court in Sohar:
Its jurisdiction covers the wilayats of the Governorates of North Al Batinah, Musandam, and Al Buraymi.
