Oman Decision No. 225/2023 On the Issuance of the Implementing Regulation of the Weapons and Ammunition Law
Abrogating:
Oman Decision No. 22/1998 dated 14/11/1998
Based on the Police Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 35/1990;
The Weapons and Ammunition Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 36/1990;
The Implementing Regulation of the Weapons and Ammunition Law promulgated by Oman Decision No. 22/1998; and
The approval of the Ministry of Finance; and
Based on the public interest requirements,
The following has been decided:
Article 1
The provisions of the Implementing Regulation of the Weapons and Ammunition Law, attached hereto, shall apply.
Article 2
Licences for the possession, trade, repair, import and export of weapons and their ammunition issued before the implementation of the provisions of the attached Regulation shall continue to apply until their expiry, and shall be renewed in accordance with the provisions of the attached Regulation.
Article 3
The aforementioned Implementing Regulation of the Weapons and Ammunition Law shall be abrogated. Any provision contrary to the attached Regulation or contradicting with its provisions shall be also abrogated.
