Oman Diwan Decision No. 17/1993 On the Regulation of Lease Contract Registration with the Municipality of Muscat and the Collection of Prescribed Fees
Pursuant to Oman Sultani Decree No. 6/1989 on the Regulation of the Relationship between Landlords and Tenants of residential, industrial and commercial Premises and Registration of Lease Contracts related thereto and its amendments,
Oman Sultani Decree No. 8/1992 on the issuance of Muscat Municipality Law and its amendments,
Oman Cabinet Decision No. 19/1983 dated 20/06/1983 on the imposition of fees on the landlords of leased properties,
Based on the work requirements,
It was decided:
Article 1
The lessor leasing a property or part thereof concluded by the registration of the Lease contract at the Municipality of Muscat shall commit to specify in the contract the duration thereof as well as the date of its entry into force and the specified rental value. The lessee shall as well commit to register the contract should there be agreement between the lessor and the lessee.
