Lebanon Law No. 1/1955 On Israel Boycott
The Parliament has ratified
And the President of Republic has published the following Law:
Article 1
It is prohibited for any natural or legal person to conclude, in person or through mediation, an agreement with bodies or persons residing in Israel or for the benefit thereof, whenever the subject-matter of the agreement is commercial deals, financial transactions or any other transactions of any nature whatsoever.
National and foreign companies and institutions that have factories, assembly branches, or general agencies in Israel are considered among the bodies and persons with whom it is not allowed to engage in any dealing according to the previous paragraph as decided by the Council of Ministers in a decision to be published in the Official Gazette.
Article 2
No Israeli goods, commodities and products, whatever their types, are allowed to enter the Lebanese territory and it is prohibited to exchange them or trade in them. The same applies to financial bonds and any other movables of Israeli origin.
