The President of the Republic,
Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution;
Lebanon Law No. 36/1982 of 17 November 1982 (Granting the government the authority to decree);
Lebanon Law No. 10/1983 of 21 May 1983 (Extending the enforcement of the provisions of Lebanon Law No. 36/1982);
Following consultation withthe State Consultative Council;
Acting ipon the proposal of the Minister of Finance; and
Subsequent to the approval bythe Council of Ministers on April 13, 1983;
Issues the following decree:
Article 1
The term "Holding Company" as referred to in this Decree shall denote a company engaged in the activities herein specified.
The designation "Holding Company" shall be conspicuously displayed alongside the company's name in all correspondence, notices, publications, and other documents originating from the company.
Article 2
The activities of a Holding Company shall be confined to the following:
