Lebanon Decision No. 109/1937 On the Regulation of Insurance, Capitalization and Savings Companies

The High Commissioner of the Republic of France;
Acting in accordance with the decrees issued by the President of the Republic of France dated 23 November 1920 and 16 July 1933;
Lebanon Decision No. 96/1926 of 30 January 1926 governing Joint-Stock Companies and Foreign Insurance Companies. and
Lebanon Decision No. 2766/1929 of 13 September 1929 complementing of the above-mentioned Lebanon Decision No. 96/1926;
Hereby decided the following:
Article 1
The provisions of Lebanon Decision No. 96/1926 of 30 January 1926 complemented by Lebanon Decision No. 2766/1929 of 13 September 1929, shall extend to any Insurance, Capitalization, or Savings Company, irrespective of nomenclature, desiring to conduct operations of this nature, directly or through agents, brokers, or intermediaries, within States under Mandate..
Additionally, these companies shall be subject to the provisions herein.
Article 2
Each company is required to establish a registered office in States under Mandate for the operations conducted therein.
