We Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Emir of the State of Bahrain,
Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution;
Bahrain Emiri Order No. 4/1975;
Bahrain Law No. 23/1976 on Labour in the Private Sector;
Bahrain Law No. 13/1975 on Retirement Pensions and Benefits for Government Employees and Workers;
Bahrain Law No. 1/1975 determining the Fiscal Year, the Rules for Preparing the General Budget, Monitoring its Implementation, and the Final Account; and
Based on the proposal of the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, and after the approval of the
Council of Ministers,
We hereby issue the following Decree:
Article 1
The provisions of the attached Law shall apply to the regulation of social insurance.
Article 2
Any provision that contradicts the provisions of this Law as regards those subjects thereto shall be abrogated.
Article 3
The Minister of Labour and Social Affairs shall issue the regulations and decisions necessary for its implementation, and they shall be considered as necessary executive measures.
Article 4
Ministers - each within his own scope of competencies - shall implement this Law. The present Law shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force on the first of the month following the date of its publication.
