Jordan to Join the Patent Cooperation Treaty

The Jordanian Council of Ministers has approved Jordan's accession to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) which will provide procedural facilitation.

The PCT will also provide reduced fees of 90% offered by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) to Jordan.

The Foreign Affairs Minister will deposit the accession documents with the Secretary General of WIPO and the treaty will be signed in Geneva by the authorised permanent representative of the Kingdom.
