Analysis
The financial and economic cooperation committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council states has held a meeting and discussed a proposal submitted by UAE regarding imposing tax harmonisation in member states.
The move follows the UAE's Finance Ministry launch of the GCC Takamul portal which is the first of its kind.
It allows complaints, information and proposals by GCC nationals regarding the implementation of tax harmonisation in all of the GCC's markets to be shared.
