WHAT'S HAPPENED?
In a recent judgment by the Abu Dhabi Court of Cassation (ACC 29/2014 on 30/06/2014), the court considered if an administrative decision affected by procedural irregularities (which led to it being reversed) could be automatic grounds for compensation. In this case the court decided that the irregularity or illegality of an administrative decision must be connected to substantive reasons, if the Government body's management is to be liable for compensation.
