Gulf Cooperation Council: VAT to be Introduced in 2018

The Tax in MENA conference has called on all companies operating in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to reconsider their contacts to ensure VAT-related issues are properly addressed before the tax is introduced in January 2018.

The conference, which was held in Dubai and attended by a number of prominent CEOs of multinational companies, has announced the deadline for introducing VAT represents a significant challenge for businesses.

It added companies will incur more costs if the tax is not implemented properly.
