Foreign nationals previously eligible for a visa-on-arrival must now obtain a visa for business or tourism before entering Egypt because of the upcoming indefinite suspension of the visa on arrival programme. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this policy change is intended to better monitor the flow of foreign nationals entering and exiting the country.
In practice, visas-on-arrival allowed foreign nationals to engage in business activities like attending meetings, conducting research and negotiating contracts.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
