Saudi Arabia's Cabinet has approved a recommendation from the Council for Economic and Development Affairs to impose a tax on vacant lands in urban areas in the Kingdom.

The Cabinet has asked the Council to prepare a system for the implementation of the programme.

The proposal will be submitted to the Council of Ministers and then the Shoura Council for approval.
