Global accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers have suggested Qatar considers introducing a tax on fatty foods to help it diversify its revenue base and create a healthy society.
The firm made its suggestions in its January Qatar Economy Watch report.
The suggestion comes as the country faces a struggle to fully fund Government expenditure from non-oil revenue by 2020 and is considered to have one of the highest rates of obesity in the world.
