TECOM Processing Delayed Applications and Backlogs Following Online Portal Update

TECOM is currently processing delayed applications and the backlog that resulted from the implementation of the new online portal for government services. All immigration applications for companies registered in TECOM must now be submitted through the new online portal. Fragomen expects processing times to return to normal in the coming weeks.

As reported previously, TECOM has recently updated its online portal to modernise immigration procedures provided by its Government Services Office (GSO). The new AXS system went live in early November with extended functionality incorporating all types of immigration applications and a modern user interface along with more sophisticated reports and dashboards. As with any new system implementation, new workflows have been created and a significant amount of data migration has occurred. Currently, minor software glitches have been resolved and TECOM are working through the resulting backlogs and delays in processing various immigration applications.
