Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Freezone Revises Tariffs and Procedural Steps
Analysis
The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) Freezone has revised some of its tariffs for services granted by its Government Services Office (GSO). DMCC has also slightly revised the procedure for obtaining a local status amendment for eligible individuals. Whereas previously the applicant's Employment Entry Permit (EEP) and passport had to be delivered to the DMCC's GSO, a designated courier service will now collect these documents for further processing. Similarly, passports and other supporting documents that had to previously be delivered for Employment Residence Permit stamping, will now be collected by the Freezone's courier service.
These slight procedural changes are not expected to affect government processing times for work authorisation and no additional documentation requirements have been mentioned by DMCC.
