Jordan's Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, has written to the country's Higher Judicial Council President, Hisham Tal, urging him to work with the Income Tax Court of First Instance to clear the backlog of cases valued at one billion Jordanian Dinars
Ensour's intervention comes as Jordan's economic situation worsens and financial incentives are being offered to judges to work overtime to clear the backlog.
