Kuwait: Expatriate Income Tax Rumours Rejected

Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Al Shimali, has denied newspaper reports suggesting expatriates will be required to pay income tax and face foreign currency remittance caps.

Al Shimali went onto deny discussions were taking place at the Finance Ministry.

Newspaper reports in Al-Kuwaitiah suggested proposals requiring expatriates to pay income tax and limit foreign currency remittances to their monthly salaries were actively being considered.
