Analysis
Following the fourth annual conference of the Arabic Customs Departments and Mail Departments, a recommendation to exempt Arabic mail products from taxes and fees, has been issued.
The recommendation also calls for custom procedures for imported and exported mail products, materials used commercially and some personal use items to be exempted.
The Customs and Information Committee is expected to conduct field visits to different Custom and Mail departments in Arabic countries to establish possible ways for implementing the new proposed system.
