Isle of Man, Qatar Sign Double Taxation Agreement

Analysis

The Isle of Man has signed a double taxation agreement (DTA) with Qatar. The agreement will come into force once ratified by the Isle of Man and Qatari governments and relates to the avoidance of double taxation on income and fiscal evasion of income tax

The DTA was signed for the Isle of Man by the Treasury Minister, Eddie Teare MHK and for Qatar, by Qatar's Director of Public Revenues and Taxes, Mr Moftah Jassim Al Moftah.

The DTA will comprehensively address taxation issues arising in relation to the flow of business and any movement of people between the Isle of Man and Qatar, and closely follows the model text published by the OECD.
