Sharaf: Freeze on Real Estate Tax and Measures to Reform the Wage System in Egypt

Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf has announced the freezing of the Mubarak era real estate taxes

Sharaf added that the government is seeking to reduce subsidies on petroleum products by about 10% in order to use the money to build 70,000 apartments and many hospitals, universities, and schools.

He also emphasised that the government will continue to support food commodities.
