The signature of a tax treaty between Cyprus and United Arab Emirates
On 27 February 2011, the Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Markos Kyprianou, in the framework of his visit to the United Arab Emirates, met, with his counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They signed the tax treaty agreed in October 2010 between Cyprus and the United Arab Emirates which targets the avoidance of double taxation.
The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between both countries in several sectors such trade, tourism, the development of the air transport sector, etc.
Approval by Ireland of the tax treaty between Ireland and United Arab Emirates
Signed on 1 July 2010, the tax treaty between Ireland and the United Arab Emirates covering taxes on income and capital gains was ratified by Ireland, according to SI No. 20/2011.
