Jordanian Small Businesses to Remain Exempted From Sales Tax During 2011

The Cabinet decided to extend its decision of exempting retail business owners whose annual sales are less than JD 75,000 from the sales tax

The decision will be valid until 31 December 2011, according to Minister of Finance Mohammad Abu Hammour.

In February 2010, the Cabinet endorsed a decision to raise the minimum amount of sales generated by retail business owners that is subject to the 16% sales tax from JD 50,000 to JD 75,000 per year.
