Background

The Respondents filed action No 997/2015 Al Sharjah against the Appellant demanding that they pay 400,000 AED as compensation for moral and material damages that had occurred after the death of their testator due to a car accident cause by a car of the Appellant and driven by an individual who was jailed for a month and fined for 2,500 AED and 200,000 AED in blood money which was to be distributed to the heirs in the action No 347/2011.

The Court of First Instance ordered the Appellant to pay to the Respondents AED 120,000 with a 5% legal interest rate as of the date the judgment becomes final until payment.
