Background

An employee filed a case against a company before First Instance for Settlement of Labour Disputes (FIASLD) requesting the company to pay his dues.

The FIASLD ruled that the company should pay the employee 33693 Riyals for wages, 7600 Riyals for holiday pay, 29830 Riyals for end of service gratuity plus 127173 Riyals for compensation.

The company appealed the ruling before the SLHASLD.

The SLHASLD stated the employee only deserved compensation of 18000 Riyals.

The SLHASLD upheld the appealed ruling but amended the appealed ruling on the compensation value.
