Appeal – Judgment – Salary – Suspension – Litigation Procedure
This case involved a claim by an employee for the payment of salary since his suspension. This was rejected as a previous ruling on the subject had not been appealed by other parties so had become final.
Background
An employee filed a claim with the First Instance Authority for Settlement of Labour Disputes (FIASLD) in Riyadh against a company requesting they pay his salaries for eight months since his suspension.
The FIASLD issued a ruling dismissing the case because the dispute had been settled previously by another ruling issued by FIASLD, which deemed the employee was unable to work.
The employee filed an appeal before the SLHASLD, which examined the case and stated the claim had been settled by a previous ruling issued by FIASLD and neither of the parties had appealed it which made the ruling final.
The SLHASLD issued a ruling upholding the appealed ruling.
