Holiday Pay – Employee’s Rights – Inheritance – Termination of Employment – Evidence
This case involved a request by an employee for his dues. The employee failed to provide evidence of unfair dismissal but the employer's heirs were ordered to pay holiday pay.
Background
An employee filed a case against an employer before the First Instance Authority for Settlement of Labour Disputes (FIASLD) requesting the employer to pay his due employment rights. The FIASLD ruled that the employer should pay the employee 15000 Riyals. The heirs of the employer appealed the ruling before the SLHASLD.
The SLHASLD said that the employee was requested by the SLHASLD to prove his claims that he was dismissed from his job but he had failed to do so.
Decision
The SLHASLD upheld the appealed ruling in its first and fourth points and amended the other part by requesting the heirs of the employer to pay the employee 7000 Riyals for annual leave.
