This case involved a request by an employee for her dues. It was ruled these should be paid and the employee deported at the employer's expense. Although the employee had been recruited by this employer and found unqualified they had not cancelled her contract so were liable. At appeal it was ruled this was the initial ruling was correct but the employee should also be given the right to change her sponsor.
Background
An employee filed a case against an employer and requested the elementary authority for the settlement of labour disputes order the employer to pay her dues.
The elementary authority ruled the employer should pay the employee 41463 Riyals for unpaid salary and that employee should be deported at the employer's expenses.
The employer and the employee appealed the ruling before the High Authority for the Settlement of Labour Disputes.
