SCA 4430934773/2024

This case involved use of an oath, account statements and invoices to prove amounts owned under a supply of services contract.

Background

This dispute arose from a contractual arrangement under which the claimant had provided security guard services to the defendant, a medical complex. The claimant argued that the defendant had failed to pay the full amount due under the agreement and sought an order obliging the defendant to pay a total of 100,618 riyals as the outstanding balance for services rendered. In addition, the claimant sought 10,000 riyals as reimbursement for legal fees and consultancy costs. The claim was based on account statements and invoices which, according to the claimant, reflected the amounts owed for services provided to two different sites operated by the defendant, namely the medical centre itself and an affiliated pharmacy.
