SCA 597/2019
This case involved the non-payment for purchased goods. The company who the case was filed against had not signed the contract and there was no evidence of the claim.
Background
A company filed a case against a company before the court. The company requested the court to order the other company to pay 170000 Riyals. The company said that they had supplied the other company with wood and equipment but the latter had failed to pay for them.
The other company claimed that they were an irrelevant party in the case.
Decision
The court said that the case documents revealed that the second company was not part in the signed contract. The court said that the company which filed the case had failed to prove their claims.
The court dismissed the case.
The Court of Appeal – Riyadh upheld the ruling based on the same grounds.
