SCA 435/2019
This case involved the sale of goods to a company which were unpaid for and it was claimed had been signed for by an employee who lacked authority. Although this was proven the fact the company had admitted the goods were in their possession meant they were liable to pay for them.
Background
A company filed a case against a company before the court. The company requested the court to order the other company to pay 476931 Riyals. The company said that they had supplied the other company with goods but the latter had failed to pay their value.
The other company said that they had not had any transactions with the company. They said that one of their employees had dealt with the company personally.
Decision
The court said that the case documents revealed that the person who had signed the bills had not been assigned by the other company to do so.
The court dismissed the case.
