Background
A legal representative of a claimant filed a case against a company before the court. He requested the court to dismiss the contract signed between the two parties on a transportation plane. He requested the court to order the company to pay 500850 Riyals in addition to compensation.
The legal representative of the company claimed that the company was in liquidation . He said that the claimant had failed to commit to his obligations because he had only paid 50% of the contract's value.
Decision
The court said that the case documents revealed that the company had failed to commit to its obligations according to the contract.
The court ruled that the agreed contract should be dismissed. The court also ruled that the company should pay the claimant the mentioned amount in addition to the lawyer's expenses of 10000 Riyals.
The legal representative of the company appealed the ruling before the court of appeal.
The court dismissed the appeal and upheld the appealed ruling.
