A claimant filed a case against a company before the court. He requested the court to order the company to pay him 398456 Riyals. He said that he had finished contracting work for the company but they had failed to commit to their obligations.

The court said that Articles 36 and 38 of Saudi Arabia Cabinet Decision No. 11/1435 stipulated that the case should be filed in the area where the address of the defendant was located. The court said that the case documents revealed that the company's address was in Jeddah city.

The court said that the consideration of the case did not fall under the jurisdiction of the court.

The Court of Appeal – Riyadh upheld the ruling based on the same grounds.
