SCA 2148/2019

This case involved non-payment for a completed project. Bills signed by the project manager were used as evidence they project had been completed and the money was due.

Background

A claimant filed a case against a company before the court. He requested the court to order the company to pay him 111920 Riyals. He said that he had finished contracting works for the company but they had failed to commit to their obligations.

Decision

The court said that the case documents revealed that the claimant had provided the court with bills which had been signed by the project manager. The court said that the bills showed that the claimant had completed the assigned project.

The court ruled that the company should pay the claimant the mentioned amount.

The Court of Appeal – Riyadh upheld the ruling based on the same grounds.
