A claimant filed a case against a defendant before the court. He requested the court to order the defendant to pay him 200000 Riyals. He said that he had paid the amount to the defendant in order to invest it but the defendant had failed to commit to his obligations.

The court said that the case documents revealed that the claimant had already received 42000 Riyals from the defendant. The court said that the claimant had provided the court with the documents that proved his claims. The court said that the defendant had failed to attend the court hearings though he was informed with the case.

The court ruled that the defendant should pay the claimant 158000 Riyals.

The Court of Appeal – Riyadh upheld the ruling based on same grounds.
