A claimant filed a case against a defendant before the court. He said that he had paid the defendant 300000 Riyals in order to invest. He said that the defendant had failed to commit to his obligations. He said that the defendant had already admitted that he owed the amount through a written document but he had failed to pay it.

The court said that the case documents revealed that the claimant had provided the court with the documents that proved his claims. The court said that the defendant had failed to attend the court hearings though he was informed of the case.

The court ruled that the defendant should pay the claimant 300000 Riyals.

The Court of Appeal – Jeddah upheld the ruling based on same grounds.
