A company filed a case against a defendant before the court. The company requested the court to order the defendant to pay 60000 Riyals. The company said that the defendant had rented equipment from them and failed to pay the rent.

The court said that the case documents revealed that the company had provided the court with the documents that proved their claims including bills signed by the defendant. The court said that the defendant had failed to attend the court hearings although he was informed with the case.

The court ruled that the defendant should pay the company 60000 Riyals in addition to the lawyer expenses of 4000 Riyals.

The Court of Appeal – Jeddah upheld the ruling based on same grounds.
