SCA 1541/2019
This case involved nonpayment for advertising. Bills were provided as evidence but were not signed and the defendant stated they had paid. The defendant's employee was required to take the oath.
Background
A claimant filed a case against a defendant before the court. He requested the court to order the defendant to pay 32990 Riyals. He said that he had supplied the defendant with advertising boards but the latter had failed to pay their value.
Decision
The court said that the case documents revealed that the claimant had provided the court with bills to prove his claim but these bills were not signed. The court said that the defendant had provided the court with the documents that proved that he had already paid for the boards. The court said that the claimant requested one the defendant’s employees to take the oath and that the employee took it.
The court dismissed the case.
The court of appeal upheld the ruling based on same grounds.
