SCA 1447/2019
The initial dispute involved credit for the purchase of goods which was not paid. A key issue was whether the conditions applied for a reconsideration of the ruling.
Background
A claimant filed a case against a defendant before the court. He requested the court to order the defendant to pay him 325170 Riyals. He said that he had opened a credit account in order to finance the purchasing of some car wheels with the defendant but the latter failed to pay their value.
Decision
The court ruled that the defendant should pay the claimant the mentioned amount.
The defendant made a plea to the court in order to reconsider the ruling.
The court said that the defendant's plea did not fall under the cases stipulated by Article 200 of Saudi Arabia Cabinet Decision No. 11/1435.
The Court of Appeal – Mecca upheld the ruling based on the same grounds.
