SCA 1345/2019
This case involved non-payment for housing services. It was claimed the case had been settled. Evidence was provided for the claim and that the defendant had admitted they owed the amount.
Background
A company filed a case against a company before the court. The company requested the court to order the other company to pay 726339 Riyals. The company said that they had provided a housing service for the other company’s workers but the latter had failed to commit to her obligations.
The other company claimed that the case had already been settled.
Decision
The court said that the case documents revealed that the company had provided the court with the documents that proved their claims. The court said that the case documents also revealed that the other company had then confirmed that they owed the amount.
The court ruled that the other company should pay the company the amount.
The Court of Appeal – Jeddah upheld the ruling based on same grounds.
