This case involved a phramacy which had supplied medicine to a company but not been paid. The company disputed the amount owed. The pharmacy had evidence of their claim but the company did not.

Background

A pharmacy filed a case against a company before the court. The pharmacy requested the court to order the company to pay them 830550 Riyals. The pharmacy said that they had supplied medicines to the company but the latter had failed to pay the remaining value of the contract.

The company confirmed the transaction but said that they owed 747250 Riyals only.

Decision

The court said that the case documents revealed that the pharmacy had provided the court with the documents that prove their claims. The court said that the case documents also revealed that the company had failed to prove their claims.

The court ruled that the company should pay the pharmacy 830550 Riyals.

The Court of Appeal – Jeddah upheld the ruling based on same grounds.
