A claimant filed a case against a defendant before the court. He said that he had paid the defendant 400000 Riyals  to invest  but the defendant failed to commit to his obligations. He requested the court to order the defendants to pay him the capital and the profits.

The defendant admitted that he had received the amount but he said that he had made a big loss due to compelling circumstances.

The court ruled that the defendant should pay the claimant the mentioned amount.

The defendant objected to the ruling and said that the he had already paid the claimant 7000000 Riyals.

The court said that the case documents revealed that the defendant had paid the claimant 7000000 Riyals in addition to other amounts. The court said that the claimant had failed to prove his claims.

The court dismissed the ruling and the case.

The Court of Appeal – Mecca upheld the ruling based on the same grounds.
