SCA 1294/2019
This case involved the sale of goods and validity of a company stamp on bills.
Background
A company filed a case against another company before the court. The company requested the court to order the other company to pay 114668 Riyals. The company said that they had supplied the other company with goods but the latter had failed to pay their value.
The other company claimed that the stamps on the bills provided by the company were invalid.
Decision
The court said that the case documents had revealed that the manager of the other company had already admitted that the stamps on the bills belonged to his company and that previous bills with the same stamps had been paid. The court requested the company to take the oath in order to prove their claims. The company took the oath.
The court ruled that the other company should pay the company the mentioned amount.
The Court of Appeal – Jeddah upheld the ruling based on the same grounds.
