SCA 103/2019

This case involved the breach in a contracting contract. A key issue was whether the party had been property informed of the case.

Background

A claimant filed a case against a company before the court. He requested the court to order the company to pay him 2011586 Riyals. He said that he had finished contracting work on behalf of the company but the latter failed to commit to its obligations according to the contract.

Decision

The court ruled that the company should pay the claimant the mentioned amount.

The court of appeal found that the company was not informed with the ruling. The court said that the case fell under the rules of Article 60(3) of the Law of Advocacy.

The court upheld the elementary ruling.
