SCA 1022/2019
This case involved the investment in a partnership. It was claimed the individual who signed the contract lacked authority and the claimant was unable to provide evidence of the partnership.
Background
A claimant filed a case against two defendants before the court. He requested the court to order the defendants to pay 668187 Riyals and compensation. He said that he had paid the defendants an amount of money in order to invest in a business but they had failed to commit to their obligations.
The defendants denied the claim made by the claimant and said that the person who had signed the contract did not have the authorization to do so.
Decision
The court said that the case documents revealed that claimant had failed to prove that he was in a partnership with the defendants.
The court dismissed the case.
The court of appeal has upheld the ruling on the same grounds.
