The Public Prosecution filed a claim against a person accusing him of possessing and drinking intoxicants. The Public Prosecution requested charging him and sentencing him to a disciplinary sentence and stated the punishment must be heightened because he had many convictions.

The defendant confessed and said he had previous convictions and expressed sorrow and repentance.

The Criminal Court said that the defendant had confessed and the chemical report showed the presence of alcohol presence. He had previous convictions. The court charged him and sentenced him to the intoxication punishment and 80 lashes in public. The court also punished him for his previous convictions by sentencing him to four months in prison.

The Court of Appeal endorsed the ruling.
