Cheque – Fraud – Evidence
The case involved an employee who it was claimed by forged the signature of the director of the company he worked for on a cheque which he had made out to himself. Key points were the required evidence requested by the Court of Appeal including the detail in the anti-fraud and falsification report, witness statements which should have been heard by the court and proof required by the company. However, after these points were re-examined the decision of the General Court was finally upheld.
