The office of the public prosecution filed a case against a defendant before the court. They requested the court penalize the defendant who worked as a security officer for the misuse of authority. It said that the defendant took 500 Riyals from an employee in illegal way.

The security officer denied the accusation made by the office.

The court considered the documents of the case. The court said that the documents revealed that the defence made by the defendant was invalid.

The court ruled that the defendant should pay a fine of 15000 Riyals in accordance with Article 2 of the Royal Decree on the Misuse of Authority.

The court of appeal upheld the ruling.
